Factors that have contributed to the growth and success of Kenyan horticulture and exports in the last 10–15 years were its favorable climate that ensures year-round production, favorable conditions for foreign investors, use of the latest technology, skilled workforce, an enabling policy environment, easier access to international markets and an expanding domestic market.

To enhance the quality of our products, industry associations and other players have trained and supported producers and exporters on requirements for international accreditations on sustainability, food safety, and traceability.
